Print Journal Collection The periodical collection contains 1.385 current and over 180.468 volumes in 2011. Journals are housed on the first floor of the Library. Current periodicals are arranged by subject in the current periodicals' hall. Bound periodicals published from between 1990 and one year ago are arranged in alphabetical order in the bound periodicals' hall. Bound periodicals published before 1990 are placed in the stacks and they can be ordered from the stacks by filling the Journal Stacks Request Form. How to find print journals • Go to the Library Catalogue. • Choose one of the "Title, Subject, Keyword or Call Number" options in the first menu. • Write the terms in the search box. • Choose the "Main Library Serials" option in the second menu. • Click on the Submit button. • Click on the title links when search results appear on the screen. • Make a note of the call number of current journals or for the title of bound journals, and then go to the shelves. Please fill the Journal Stacks Request Form for the journals published before 1990. Electronic Resources Collection METU Library electronic resources collection covers nearly 59.900 electronic journals, 117.713 electronic books, and 150 databases. METU members can access the electronic resources both on and off campus via the IP addresses defined in the licence agreements. How to find e-journals E-journals are not available in the online library catalog. Please find the electronic journals by going to the E-journals page. Electronic journals can be searched by title, ISSN, subject, or DOI / PubMed ID. How to find electronic articles • Go to the METUnique Search page. • Write the terms in the search box. • Choose one of the"Keyword", "Title" or "Author" options. • Click on the Search button. • Click on the links you would like to view. |
